PT. YTL Jawa Timur operates and maintains this 2 x 610 MW Coal-fired Power Station. The station is located at Paiton, Probolinggo District of East Java, 141 km Southeast of Surabaya.

We currently have vacancies for:

1. PLANT PERFORMANCE ENGINEER

• Bachelor degree (S1) in Mechanical/ Physic Engineering from reputable University

• Min 3 years exp. in Coal Fired Power Plant Operations
• Having strong understanding and exposure in heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluids mechanics
• Familiar with computer software MS-Office, and preferably with MS-Access and VB Application and having good analytical thinking
• Familiar with ASME-performance test code (PTC) and P&ID
• Excellent in English both spoken & written

2. STORES & INVENTORY CONTROL TEAM LEADER

• Bachelor degree (S1) in Business Administration, industrial Engineering, Management from reputable university
• Min 6 years exp. in similar position in heavy industry on warehouse management, leading store team in carrying out warehouse activities which include control of receipt, storage and issue of materials as well as maintaining adequate stock level of meet operation and maintenance requirements, Liaison with other sections/departments to keep an overview of inventory control
• Familiar with Computerized Inventory Management system such as Maximo and Accounting system
• Honest and have integrity in this position
• Good leadership
• Excellent in English both spoken & written

It is always hard to know how to answer interview questions and if you are not very experienced at interviews, then the whole process can seem daunting. So just how are you supposed to answer their questions?

Well the basic principle to bear in mind, whatever the interview, whether on a one to one, at a recruitment agency or for a permanent contract, is that you need to sell yourself in a way that is confident and assured, but without sounding too big headed or arrogant.

Always try to ensure that you establish eye contact with the interviewers. Try to sound confident when you answer and if you think you are about to freeze, or dry up, then just take a deep breath and remind yourself that this is not life or death, it is only an interview and then continue.
